Pam Bray Designs: A Girl With Flair

Sharing creative ideas through mixed media, stamps, embossing powder, charms, chipboard, stencils and designer collections

Do you love to decorate for the holidays, I know I do!!!
Do you love to give sweet hostess gifts if you are invited to a party?
Or maybe you just need a few gifts in your stash for those unexpected times!
Well today I am going to share with you how to make a love candle with all of that in mine using Xyron and Design Memory Crafts – FaberCastell Gelatos.
To begin with make sure you have a small jar candle in your favorite fragrance.
Then cut a piece of 3″ x 12″ card stock.
Apply Design Memory Crafts – FaberCastell Metallic and Double Scoop Gelatos to the card stock using a brush. Dry completely.
(HINT: I puddle each of the gelatos on my craft sheet along with some water, dipping in the water and than into each color of gelato I paint on my card stock with my brush)
Apply modeling paste to prepared gelato strip using a stencil from Design Memory Crafts – FaberCastell Mixed Media Stencils along with a palette knife. Allow to dry completely.
Repeat once dry by placing the stencil back over the dry modeling piece (off setting it just a bit).
Apply crackle paste over the top and allow this to dry completely.
Stamp prepared piece with image and black ink.
Adhere to around candle jar using Xyron Mega Tape Runner.
Spray tatted ribbon with water, paint Design Memory Crafts – FaberCastell Green Double Scoop over ribbon with brush.
Allow to dry completely.
Run dry tatted ribbon through Xyron 1.5 Sticker Maker.
Place on prepared strip on candle jar.
Stamp butterfly image twice on white card stock.
Apply Design Memory Crafts – FaberCastell Metallic Melon and Iced Chai to butterfly using paint brush.
(Remember to wet the Gelatos with a bit of water)
Dry Completely.
Layer butterfly together at the body.
Adhere to candle jar with Xyron Adhesive Dots.
Tie ribbon around rim of candle jar.
Add a babble to jar.
Make and add a pretty bow using Xyron Adhesive Dots.
I hope I have inspired you today to get some candle jars…
