What better way to be happy but to get a bit inky!!!
I am sharing a mini tutorial on how to create a mixed media art journal page using Ranger Distress Inks and Markers along with my newest Sensation Stamp Set from Wild Whisper!
Begin by stamping the May Your Day Be Happy Sensations Stamp Set multiple times on the journal page using jet black ink from Ranger.
Mask off the stamp images and ink journal page with several colors of distress inks using a blending tool. Repeat until you get the back ground colors that you are happy with.
It is time for SCHOOL! We love to take those first day of school photos whether our kids are able to go to their local school or like us having virtual school! I am sharing how to create a that first day of school layout!
Did you know there are some fabulous sites that you can get layouts and card sketches to work with? Creative Scrapbooker Magazine has a “free” sketch layout each month but there are other sites like A Cherry on Top or Page Maps that has both card and layout sketches to name a couple more. Some also have challenges using sketches!
When you work with layouts you can go literal with the sketch or use it as a jumping off point like I did with my layout! I added a collection of journal cards and paper to create the patter of thirds from the layout.
Added a place for a photo where the Title is shown.
Add small cards and border strip where the flowers are shown to be.
Add a the school banner from the Scholastic to top of layout using pop dots and natural twine bows.
If you aren’t a Scrapbooker that is okay; you can use the same sketch idea to create a card or maybe some altered work. Really a sketch is the jumping off place for your creative style. Enjoy, Pam

I came up with one using my Sensations Collection from Wild Whisper
AND….
created a slimline folio with it!
BEGIN…
by cutting a piece of pattern paper to measure 12″ wide by 8 1/2″ long; score at the 4″ and 8″ marks.
Fold to create the slim line card.
Scallop punch one edge of the Cut Apart Epherema piece.
Add to front of slimline card to create enclosure
Add clear gemstones.
Fussy cut one of the doilies from the pattern paper; add ribbon underneath.
Add to front of slimline card with pop dots.
Add second center of doily to top of first with pop dot.
Fussy cut butterfly add to top of doily.
Tie in pretty bow.
Stamp Hello and leaves from the Sensation Stamp Set with black ink.
Color small flowers in with markers
Circle punch random size circles to place one front to slimline card. (Make sure to slide a few under images that already placed.
Fussy cut larger flower from Sensation Stamp and leaves from cut apart sheet; adhere to front of card.
Add one of the Sensations Cut Apart Epherema pieces to inside cover of card.
Add one of the fussy cut butterflies to card.
Middle section of inside of card has a hidden gift card.
To form cut piece of pattern paper to 7 1/2″ wide by the width of the gift card you are using; go slightly so the gift card will fit nicely in center of card. Fold.
Cut honeycomb from Sensations Cut Apart Paper to form closure; adhere behind prepared gift card.
Adhere to inside middle of Slimline card.
Add gift card.
Fussy cut images from Sensation Pattern Paper; add to bottom back slimline page.
Tie close when done. Enjoy making super easy Slimline Cards with Wild Whisper Sensations Paper. Pam
